Sites Highlighted at webstandards.org
This morning I received some great news from Rob Dickerson of the Web Standards Project Education Task Force: my teaching site, as well as the Quince Orchard High School site, have been highlighted as sites which demonstrate “how educational institutions are incorporating Web standards into their curricula or public sites”. I am glad I can help with this important mission for the web, in whatever way I can.
In case it wasn’t obvious before, not only do I do contract work for Jeff, but I am also a Computer Science teacher in the Montgomery County Public School system.

Over the 3 years that I have been focusing on standards based design I have learned a great deal. I’m a little embarrassed by some of the beginner things folks might find in the code on both sites, however the principle of the matter remains clear: this is 2007 and websites should be constructed using CSS. I’m glad both of these sites can help to illustrate that point … and the fact that even some high school teachers are teaching modern web techniques.
Anyway, thanks for your kind words.

Thats great! The more sites that are great examples (like yours) make it easier to show people the benefits of building websites the right way.
Nice work
